Houston born, Los Angeles-based artist Chauncy Sherod Armstrong shares his story with the world in his first official project titled Truth Be Told. The genre bending album stays true to his gospel roots while also combining hip-hop, blues, and rock.

Speaking more about the project and the process of creating it, Armstrong states: “I’ve been recording for the past 6 years, from studio to studio really refining my process till I realized there is no process to creativity. For me, that became limiting. [I] started to learn how to be free again and find more of a balance than a process.”

A short film was also created alongside the 10-track release, and was produced over the course of two months.
