Dame Dash has broken his silence regarding his personal life by explaining how he is planning to turn himself into the New York Police Department after receiving a number of warrants for allegedly failing to pay child support.

As reported, he is being accused of owing almost $400K in child support to Cindy Morales, the mother of his son, and to his ex-wife, Rachel Roy.

While speaking with TMZ, the music mogul revealed that he will be surrendering to authorities, but also made a point to explain his innocence in the matter.

“For some reason, when I was in L.A., I got all these warrants saying I didn’t pay child support,” he shared with the celebrity news site. He then goes on to explain how he recently gave Morales $150,000 so she could purchase a home, which adds to his confusion in the matter. “I just found out that I have to prove she got the money, so I’m like, ‘F–k it, I’m gonna turn myself in,’” he explained.

Elsewhere during the conversation, Dash explains how he still co-owns the Rachel Roy Collection with his ex-wife. He claims Roy — whom he co-parents his daughters Ava and Tallulah with — takes her allotted child support payments directly out of his portion of the profits from their shared clothing company. Dame is currently in the process of buying out the whole company.

“I’ll sit in jail for three or four days or whatever they want me to do. I’m an innocent man,” he added. “There’s no reason for me not to turn myself in. I’m sick of my name being compromised.”

As previously reported, a court judge first signed a warrant regarding his alleged unpaid child support three years ago. Dame alleges he gives both women money on a regular basis.

The former Roc-A-Fella executive remains confident the situation will work itself out.
