A$AP Bari has been charged with two felonies in connection to his drug arrest year, TMZ reports.
The A$AP Mob co-founder faces seven criminal counts with the most serious offenses including possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver weed and criminal conspiracy to commit to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
As previously reported, Bari was pulled over by Pennsylvania police officers in November 2018 after he allegedly drove the wrong way. When law enforcement approached his Mercedes, they claim to have smelled weed and discovered “24 circular tins of marijuana.”
According to initial reports, officials also found three more tins of marijuana inside his underwear. The fashion designer allegedly told police he used the weed for “personal use” and was released from Northampton County Prison on $25,000 bail.
In total, Bari now faces five misdemeanors (including one for possession of drug paraphernalia) and two felonies. The latest news comes after the 27-year-old (real name Jabari Shelton) pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault in January.
Bari was accused of sexual assault in July 2017. The woman in the case claimed Bari demanded non-consensual oral sex from her inside of a hotel room in the U.K. at the time. In August 2018, Bari sued his accuser for defamation. He claimed he was being extorted and pressured into settling after incriminating footage of the alleged assault leaked online.
Bari, who previously denied all of the accusations and called the disturbing footage “misleading,” avoided jail time by pleading guilty. He was reportedly ordered to pay the woman £2,000 ($2,268). His accuser also received a restraining order. No word on when Bari will have to turn himself into law enforcement over his recent felony charges.
