“The Breakfast Club” co-host Angela Yee had a blast during 212 Day, as the media personality spent a full day in Harlem and took in everything that the culturally rich neighborhood had to offer. From pulling up to hair braiding spots and barbershops to hanging out with a few Harlem residents and visiting soul food restaurants, the day was a fun one to remember.
While in the neighborhood, Yee even took the time to speak with a few people who call Harlem home. During these conversations, residents shared what they loved about their hood and more. The personality also chopped it up with Harlem’s Heaven Hat Boutique owner, Evetta Petty, who discussed the history of Harlem and shared some of the things that she’s witnessed in the neighborhood throughout the years.
But, Yee couldn’t end the day without turning up. After getting acquainted with the people of Harlem, she pulled up to the 212 Day sponsored by AT&T event. To call the event lit would be an understatement. From the venue’s recreation of Dapper Dan’s old store front to featuring an original NYC bodega, 212 Day sponsored by AT&T definitely did Harlem justice.
The night also included a panel discussion about fashion and style. The event ended with great live performances, as well. Thanks for the fun time, Harlem! Check out a recap of Yee’s jam-packed day in the 212 below.
