Last month, rapper 6ix9ine made the decision to change his plea in his federal racketeering case. On Jan. 23, he pleaded guilty to nine charges. It was also shared that he would be a cooperating witness, resulting in criticism from others such as Meek Mill and 50 Cent.

As revealed by Complex, the statements made by 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, have now been made public.

The decision to unseal the court record was made now that 6ix9ine’s alleged kidnapper Anthony Ellison and accused Chief Keef shooter Kintea “Kooda B” McKenzie could reportedly be added to the indictment and taken into custody.

The transcript of 6ix9ine’s guilty plea confirms the rapper’s involvement in the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, as well as details new insight into the extent of his gang-related activity. His lawyers previously argued that the rapper portrayed a “gangster image” in order to effectively market and sell his music.

According to the transcript, 6ix9ine initially “met and joined the Nine Trey Blood Gang” in the fall of 2017. This was around the same time he debuted his “Gummo” music video. The song soon became his breakout hit and catapulted him into the spotlight.

“As a member of Nine Trey, the enterprise engaged in such activities including shooting at people, robbing people, and at times drug trafficking,” the rapper stated in his plea. He then goes on to add that he “and others agreed to sell one kilogram of heroin” as well as “paid a person to shoot at a rival member of Nine Trey to scare him.”

As previously reported, it has already been established that Hernandez has been directly involved in three specific incidents of robbery (April 3, 2018), attempted murder (March 20, 2018) and a shooting incident (June 2, 2018).

In other documents, it outlines that the shooter, who 6ix9ine claims he offered $20,000 to in exchange—the fee was later cut in half—is McKenzie.

Additionally, during the hearing, Judge Paul A. Engelmayer asked the rapper if he has “ever been treated or hospitalized for any mental illness” to which 6ix9ine explained that he did experience symptoms of depression and PTSD after his stepfather was murdered years ago.

“I started becoming just rebelling and not showering, like depression stuff,” 6ix9ine said. Due to this, he says he was prescribed Zoloft and “other medication” but instead opted for an alternative treatment. “My mom used, like, Mexican remedies,” he explained.

6ix9ine will be sentenced on Jan. 23, 2020. While he is facing a minimum of 47 years, the judge has made it clear that if he “successfully cooperates” with the government, his sentence could be lowered. His co-defendants will begin trial on Sept. 4.
