There is no shortage of drama surrounding Cardi B these days.

However, after venting about the backlash she was witnessing on social media due to her historic Grammy win and deleting her account in the aftermath, the beloved Bronx rapper is back like she never left.

On Thursday (Feb. 14), Cardi reactivated her Instagram account, which boasts a colossal following of 40 million. In her first post since deleting her account two days prior, she shared some exciting news about an upcoming collaboration and reminded fans she’s not playing around this year when it comes to her music.

“Ok so I’m back from retirement to announce I have a brand new song coming out Friday at midnight with Bruno Mars,” Cardi wrote, sharing promotional artwork for the track. For an additional touch, she ended her caption with a subtle but factual touch: #twogrammywinningartist.

Last year at the 2018 Grammy Awards, Mars won Album of the Year, among other categories, for his 24K Magic album. Cardi took home the prize at this year’s ceremony for her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, making history as the first solo female rapper to do so.

While the collaboration remains untitled and a release date unknown, the single marks the pair’s second collaboration. They previously teamed up for 2018’s “Finesse (Remix).” Mars also invited the “Money” rapper to join him on the road for his accompanying 24K Magic tour, but the dates together were canceled due to Cardi’s pregnancy at the time.

In addition to Cardi B making her return to Instagram, the rapper also debuted a new lower lip piercing. The rapper reportedly got the piercing done for $25 at the City of Angels Tattoos shop. Apparently, the shop’s owner, Luis, was initially unaware of her celebrity but still made sure to get a selfie.
