More details are starting to emerge from Bow Wow’s recent dispute with his ex-girlfriend, model Kiyomi Leslie.

On Saturday (Feb. 2), Bow Wow and Leslie were both taken into custody and charged with battery. According to USA Today, police arrived at an address in Midtown Atlanta at around 4:15 am after receiving a call over a domestic dispute. Leslie reportedly told the officers she was physically assaulted by the 31-year-old rapper, but officers could not identify a “primary aggressor.” Both parties had “visible minor injuries,” and therefore Bow Wow and Leslie were both arrested.

On Wednesday (Feb. 6), TMZ exclusively released audio from the 911 call Leslie made that night. In the call, Leslie told the 911 dispatcher that she was locked in a bedroom without her cell phone and unable to get in contact with the local authorities who came by the area for a previous disturbance. She also alleged that Bow Wow assaulted her and told her “no one” was going to believe her if she reported it. “He was just hitting me with his hands,” she recounted while crying and waiting for the police.

TMZ also released another 911 call made by Bow Wow’s building manager. The woman claimed another resident called her to complain about the noise. She told the dispatcher she heard “a male voice” saying he would “slap the f ck out of this b tch,” along with screaming coming from inside of his apartment.

After posting bail for $8k, Bow Wow’s attorney, Joe S. Habachy, released a statement to WSB-TV addressing the arrest. Habachy claims Bow Wow, real name Shad Moss, was “wrongfully arrested” after being “beaten by an out-of-control intoxicated female.”

“The only two independent witnesses both corroborated his version of events indicating that Ms. Holden was simply out of control and was without a doubt the primary aggressor. For no logical reason officers arrested both parties despite having clear-cut evidence that Bow Wow was the victim in the case. Ms. Holden beat him with a lamp, bit him on his side, and spit on him while Bow Wow continually made efforts to avoid her. Bow Wow suffered multiple injuries, some of which are visible in his mugshot. Ms. Holden’s mugshot on the other hand speaks for itself, despite her allegation to police that she broke a fingernail.”

Bow Wow also alluded to the arrest in a recent Instagram post, writing, “Stay POSITIVE even when it feels like your whole world is falling apart.”
