Chris Brown has found himself in hot water. This time, while overseas.
According to reports, the R&B singer was detained by French police after a woman alleged that Breezy and two of his associates raped her in Paris, France.
After the victim filed her report with police on Monday (Jan. 21), Brown was arrested and detained along with two other unidentified people. He is being accused of aggravated rape and drug violations, according to a French judicial source.
However, a woman by the name of Kim Ford is now speaking up on behalf of Brown, insisting that the singer, nor a member of his camp, was not involved with the incident.
“I am not the person who said Chris Brown raped them,” she said, sharing her side of the story on her Instagram on Tuesday (Jan. 22). “I was there. But, nothing happened and the man who hit me had no relation to Chris Brown.”
Ford also posted a screenshot of the rape case news story and wrote “not true” over a headline reading “Sources claim he is accused of rape by a 24-year-old woman.”
During the night in question, an unidentified woman claims that she met the singer at a Parisian night club in rue de Ponthieu, near the Champs-Elysées, prior to heading back to his hotel room at the La Mandarin Oriental where the “brutal and violent” attack took place.
Brown has had multiple run-ins with the law throughout the course of his career’s duration, including pleading guilty to felony assault charges in 2009 following a highly publicized incident with his then-girlfriend Rihanna. Most recently, Brown was arrested in July 2018 on an outstanding battery charge as a result of an April 2017 incident where he was accused of punching a man who took his photo without permission, while in Florida.
Brown has since been released from jail and has issued a statement about the matter via IG. Take a look at it below.
