Meek Mill had one of the most inspiring years of his career in 2018 and he’s far from slowing down his momentum anytime soon. In fact, the Philadelphia rapper is back down to business and was recently spotted in the studio with none other than The Game.

While teasing new music with Nipsey Hussle and Future is certainly exciting, the prospect of Meek collaborating with The Game is worthy of celebration in and of itself. Back in December, following Meek’s release from jail, the pair reconciled after being embroiled in a years-long beef.

“The day after @meekmill got out of jail, he called me & we talked for an hour. Not about the beef but about new beginnings & what the future holds for us as seasoned hip-hop artists,” The Game shared on Instagram confirming their tension was officially a thing of the past. “That was a few months back & my n—a has done everything he said he would do in the conversation we had. Real n—a shit, I never wished jail on you & I was genuinely happy when you got released. I said it over the phone & I’ll say it again. Welcome Home n—a.”

News of the two rappers making amends instantly raised speculation among fans regarding if their peace treaty would result in new music. Meek even spoke on the possibility himself, answering a fan’s inquiry regarding a possible collaboration with The Game. “Yeah why not!!!” he replied.

Turns out that simple response has since manifested into a proper studio session.

“I might be one Just Blaze beat & a few Dr. Dre drums away from the best album of my career,” Game shared, checking in with fans on Instagram and noting that he’s been focused in the studio for the past couple of weeks.

The West Coast rapper’s forthcoming project was tentatively labeled Westside Story but he has not yet provided an update confirming the title or its release date. Meek Mill dropped his highly anticipated album, Championships, back in November 2018.
