Travis Scott will always proudly rep his hometown of Houston. As exemplified by both his music and his philanthropy efforts in recent years, showing love and giving back to the community that helped make him is a top priority for the 26-year-old.

As reported, the rapper’s latest act of generosity arrives in the form of a $100,000 donation to Workshop Houston, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the youth through a series of after-school programs.

The organization also participated in Scott’s Astroworld festival, further showcasing how the rapper is dedicated to building with organizations that are dear to his heart.

Per Workshop Houston, their mission is “to provide youth with creative, technical and educational resources” throughout Houston’s Third Ward. This is accomplished through offering a variety of after-school programs focusing on interests such as music production and graphic design.

Reports claim that portions of Scott’s latest donation will be allocated to different projects. This includes one project where students will recreate Michelle Obama’s iconic Milly gown, which the former First Lady wore in her official National Gallery portrait. Another portion of the large donation will go towards funding a drone racing competition, which is set to be held at Space Center Houston and will be quite the memorable experience for the students involved.

Last year alone, the Grammy-nominated artist received the key to Missouri City, Texas, designed T-shirts for a high school graduating class, and was even given his own dedicated day in Houston.

In addition to helping give back and positively influence the youth in H-Town, the rapper is also focused on continuing his reign as one of today’s most exciting live performers. Scott recently announced the second leg of his wildly successful Astroworld tour.
