Future is hitting the ground running this year. After wiping his Instagram page clean, which has become his habitual routine prior to releasing a new project in recent years, the Atlanta rapper revealed he’s kicking off the new year doing exactly that.

As he announced, Future’s new 20-track album, The Wizrd, will be released on Jan. 18. To help build anticipation surrounding the release — while also keeping details vague — the rapper released the lead single “Crushed Up.”

In addition to revealing his forthcoming project, he also confirmed that a new Mass Appeal-produced documentary, also titled The Wizrd, will be premiering on Apple Music this Friday (Jan. 11). According to a press release, the “feature-length film follows the artist closely and peeks into corners of his world never seen before,” as well as “opens up a window into his story and creativity.”

From his personal life as a father to his vast successes in music, there is a lot of ground to cover, especially considering Future tends to opt out of the spotlight (as best as he can) in true Scorpio fashion. Prior to the documentary’s release, Future hosted an exclusive advance screening in Los Angeles Tuesday (Jan. 8) night, as well as will show the film to an audience in New York on Thursday (Jan. 10).

To keep his rollout going strong, Future also shared the cover art of what will be his seventh studio record, which is set to drop via Epic Records/Freebandz Entertainment. He even dropped an accompanying Colin Tilley-directed visual for the project’s latest single “Jumpin on a Jet.”

This past year, Future released the mixtape BEASTMODE 2 and his collaboration with Juice WRLD, WRLD on Drugs.
