J. Cole is wasting no time this year.

Taking to social media, the rapper revealed his plans to assemble his Dreamville artists like Voltron once again.

On Sunday (Jan. 6) night, Cole posted an invitation-esque flyer on Instagram and called on members of the label’s roster to join him in the creation of an upcoming compilation album, Revenge of the Dreamers III.

One by one; signees such as J.I.D, EarthGang, Ari Lennox, Bas, Cozz and Omen, as well as in-house producer Elite, took to social media to answer the rapper’s signal and accept the invitation to join him for recording sessions. Additionally, guests such as TDE’s Reason, K-Camp and Big Pooh were also invited to participate. This led many to believe that they have been selected as exclusive special guests for the compilation.

On the invitation, it is outlined that the project’s recording will take place over the course of ten days and is set to wrap on Jan. 16. A release date for the forthcoming installment of the series has not yet been announced.

Dreamville Records President Ibrahim “Ib” Hamad also addressed the team’s plan on Twitter by writing, “We got 10 days to try and make this Revenge of the Dreamers III album. Think we can do it?” He has since checked in to update fans on the label’s progress by adding on Monday (Jan. 7), “Shout out to everyone that pulled up to Day one of these Revenge of the Dreamers 3 sessions, s—t felt special. Day two, let’s get it.”

The third installment of the collaborative album series marks the latest compilation release since 2015’s Revenge of the Dreamers II and 2014’s inaugural Revenge of the Dreamers. Sounds like the label has a lot in store for the year ahead and is diving right into it.
