From releasing her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, to welcoming her first child; Cardi B absolutely killed the game in 2018. Now that a new year has arrived, the Bronx rapper is making it clear that her momentum is far from slowing down.

In fact, Bardi has even opened up about her plans for this next lap around the sun. During a session on Instagram Live, the 26-year-old hinted at what fans can expect from her this year.

“Of course, it’s going to be an album in 2019,” she said, checking in with fans online. “Hopefully, I can get my album done around the same time that Invasion of Privacy came out.”

Cardi’s debut album came out on April 5, 2018, eventually going on to break multiple records and earn her five Grammy nominations.

“I don’t know how possible that’s going to be because I feel like I’m going to be extremely, extremely busy,” the rapper added, explaining how it will be tough to fit it into her schedule, though it’s on the docket to hopefully drop by spring.

Cardi ended her year with the world’s focus being set on her personal life, especially regarding the status of her split with her estranged husband, Offset. She announced the two had parted ways in early December and later was publicly apologized to during a stunt interrupting her headlining set at Rolling Loud. The couple has since been spotted vacationing together, which Cardi unapologetically explained was simply for sexual reasons.

Recently, the rapper came to the defense of her publicist after she had confronted a bystander at an airport in Australia. The woman yelled out at Cardi, resulting in her publicist, Patientce, stepping in on behalf of her client and friend.

So far, in addition to balancing motherhood and working on her album, Cardi is booked to perform during an offshoot Super Bowl performance alongside Bruno Mars in Atlanta. The rapper’s team has repeatedly denied all rumors she will appear at the official halftime show for a variety of reasons, including to show support for Colin Kaepernick.
