Tekashi 6ix9ine’s ongoing legal trouble continues. According to a report from TMZ published on Wednesday (Dec. 19), newly surfaced video footage is being investigated by federal prosecutors who may determine whether or not the Brooklyn rapper had a role in the attempted shooting of Chief Keef this summer.

The footage could possibly connect 6ix9ine to the June shooting, during which Keef and his cousin Tadoe were targeted. No one was hurt during the incident. But, it did bring tension between the two rappers to an all-time high.

The video, which was reportedly recorded back in May, depicts 6ix9ine stating, “I got a 30 pack on him right now.”

Authorities are reportedly interpreting the comment in question to mean that he had a $30,000 hit put out against the rapper. Given that the shooting took place barely a month later, the video footage could implicate 6ix9ine to the gunfire.

As previously reported, two unidentified males opened fire outside of the W Hotel in New York City, while Keef and Tadoe were standing outside, though both escaped unscathed. The suspects involved in the incident have not yet been revealed by authorities.

Per TMZ, prosecutors are reviewing all of the evidence to gauge if the video footage could result in additional charges for the controversial rapper. He is currently facing six federal charges, including racketing and firearm offenses.

6ix9ine, who remains behind bars at the time of this report, is facing a minimum sentence of 32 years and is scheduled to go to trial in September 2019.
