A week after Juelz Santana explained his reasoning for taking a plea deal stemming from his March 2018 arrest, the rapper has officially been sentenced.

According to reports, the Dipset member has been sentenced to 27 months in prison.

Earlier this year, TSA agents found a loaded Derringer 38-caliber handgun and a “controlled dangerous substance” in his carry-on. After realizing what was happening, Santana reportedly fled from the airport in a cab. He turned himself into authorities two days later.

Back in August, he pleaded guilty to carrying a weapon to the airport, as well as possession of a firearm by a convicted felon — crimes that meant he’d be facing two to five years in prison.

Per TMZ, Santana will reportedly be “under supervised release” for one year following his sentence.

It has not yet been reported when the rapper will have to turn himself in to begin serving his sentence.
