Just when we thought the rest of 2018 was going to be smooth sailing, Kanye West decided to rock the boat once again. On social media, at least.

During an hours-long posting spree on Twitter Thursday (Dec. 13) night and into Friday (Dec. 14) morning, ‘Ye posted dozens of stream of conscious-styled tweets that were reminiscent of his Saint Pablo era, during which he first publicly endorsed Donald Trump. He would later be admitted to a hospital after a reported mental breakdown in 2016.

During the series of new posts, West issued a variety of comments about Drake, providing fans with a mixture of direct insight about the situation and vague motivational posts.

West first kicked off the series of posts with an accusation that Drake reached out regarding clearing a sample, something that he said “proves s—t faker than wrestling.” The sample in question appears on Drake’s 2009 track “Say What’s Real, ” which features a sample of West’s “Say You Will” from 808s & Heartbreak. West later shared he did not clear the sample, adding a laughing emoji.

He went on to accuse Drake of threatening him and his family without specifying exactly what happened, while also demanding an apology.

Hours after posting over 75 tweets, his wife Kim Kardashian-West issued a comment, weighing in that she agrees Drake needs to back off.

“@drake Never threaten my husband or our family,” she said, echoing the underlying sentiment from ‘Ye’s tweets. “He paved the way for there to be a Drake.”

She then followed up with a second supportive tweet, commenting on her love for her husband amid an onslaught of tweets from fans also weighing in on the matter.

“My husband is the most brilliant person, the most genius person that I know,” she added. “He has broken so many boundaries, everything from music, stage design, fashion and culture and will continue to change the world.”

As fans can recall, the beef between Drizzy and Yeezy was amplified this year after the Toronto native sparred with G.O.O.D Music president Pusha T. West made it known he was not directly involved with revealing the news that Drake had welcomed a child in private, something he reminded Drizzy of during his latest Twitter tirade.

After tweeting into the late hours, West appeared to have risen in better spirits this morning. He posted a series of amicable tweets, such as “all love” and “meditate on positivity.”

Drake has not yet issued a comment on the matter, nor has he chosen to engage on social media.
