Last week, the internet had a field day after Cardi B announced her split from Offset. The pair had been married for roughly a year, as well as welcomed their first child, Kulture, together.

A few days after the Grammy Award nominee shared the surprising update and dominated timelines far and wide, Offset, who has been accused of infidelity, chimed in with a simple, but potent message.

“F—K YALL I MISS CARDI,” the rapper wrote on Twitter on Sunday (Dec. 9). The post has since been retweeted over a hundred thousand times — and counting — with thousands weighing in on the matter.

Cardi B, who spoke eloquently about the reasoning for their split and chalking it up to them “falling out of love,” also addressed rumors the couple had announced their split to garner publicity for Offset’s forthcoming solo album, which is due out later this week on Friday (Dec. 14).

“I really don’t like how people say my and my husband — whatever he is right now to me — is doing it for publicity,” she said, addressing the rumors during a session on Instagram Live. “I wouldn’t put my family in a bad name for no f—king publicity ’cause at the end of the day, ten years from now, my daughter, she’s gonna be looking at these type of things and she’s gonna be asking me about these type of things.”

Additionally, the Bronx rapper playfully changed the words to their collaborative track “MotorSport,” spitting, “I turn Offset on / I told him the other day we’re gonna get a divorce.”

While there has been ample commentary about the split of this soon-to-be former power couple, it goes without saying that their decision to part ways wasn’t the easiest choice to make. One fan even jokingly pointed out Offset didn’t space out the letters of his tweet like his posts normally are written, further speaking to how the highly publicized breakup is affecting him.
