Meek Mill is riding high after dropping his long awaited fourth studio album, Championships. The project, which officially dropped on Friday (Nov. 30), includes a beef-ending collaboration with Drake, fittingly paving the way for another high-stake reconciliation to take place.

Years after the The Game and Meek were embroiled in an intense feud, which heated up throughout 2016, the Los Angeles rapper posted a heartfelt tribute congratulating Meek on his new album and sharing with fans that the two have since made amends.

“Had beef wit a nigga that could’ve ended in bloodshed either way,” he wrote on Instagram late Sunday night (Dec. 2). “We had differences but when it all boiled down, we were once friends in & out of music. As young African-American men we grew up in similar situations where a lifespan for us was 21 years of age & that is still the age in which most of us coming from where we come from think we’ll never make it to. I say all that to say, life is short & the day after @meekmill got out of jail, he called me & we talked for an hour…”

The Game then clarifies that they didn’t discuss their past ill will towards one another, but instead focused on what the future could hold.

“I never wished jail on you & I was genuinely happy when you got released,” the California native continued. “I said it over the phone & I’ll say it again.. ‘Welcome Home’ nigga.. #Championships I support it & everything else hip-hop. #Growth #LoveIsLove.”

Meek previously commented on the status of his friendship with The Game during an #AskMeek Q+A session on Twitter with fans on Friday. When asked if he could see himself collaboration with The Game in the future, the reply was simple: “Yeah why not!!!”
