6ix9ine is a living testament to the power of social media. Regardless of one’s opinion on the controversial rapper, it goes without saying he has built one of the most curious fanbases in recent memory.
His fans are so loyal, as it turns out, they are even interested in finding ways to break him out of jail, or are possibly just trying to match his troll level.
Either way, a new Facebook page has surfaced this week calling for a mass movement to break the rapper out of jail. The Facebook event, which is being hosted by an anonymous user dubbed “the random urge to scream Tr3yway,” has since amassed over 7,000 interested people.
While such an organized call-to-action makes for a better comical gesture than it does a tangible plan, we’re sure 6ix9ine would appreciate the sentiment.
Earlier this week, the rapper released his album, Dummy Boy, from behind bars. It features collaborations from Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Young Thug, Tory Lanez and more.
The collaboration with Minaj and West was supposed to be accompanied by a music video but the shoot was interrupted when gunfire broke out near the set. The situation reportedly cost the label, UMG, half a million dollars.
Additionally, the song could potentially end up costing the rapper as well, as a changed lyric has reportedly upset Fashion Nova. 6ix9ine had recently entered a new promotional deal with and reportedly was paid up front despite not delivering on his end of the bargain.
6ix9ine remains in custody and is facing federal racketeering and firearms charges. His trial has been set for September 2019.
