Tupac’s estate has been actively planning and executing new ways to honor the legendary rapper.
Just weeks after releasing a new limited edition Black Panther collection with Marvel, the late rapper’s estate has made another exciting announcement. This time around, fans are speculating it could mean that new posthumous work in some form is imminent.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday (Nov. 20), the California icon’s estate posted a teaser cryptically hinting that something to be titled 1998 is going to be dropping on Friday (Nov. 24).
While details remain mum at the time of this report, the Instagram post does encourage fans to sign up for a special mailing list in order to “Be The First To Know…” about the upcoming surprise.
At this time, Tupac’s official website simply includes an email sign-up for future information and a countdown to the 24th. The rapper’s estate has been managing his affairs since his passing in 1996.
Back in October, the rapper’s estate announced that they have settled with his former label, Death Row Records. As a result of the settlement, Tupac’s estate has the green light to release what could be at least two new posthumous albums.
At the time of this report, there have not yet been any announcements confirming that new music is on the way officially. Safe to say, the anticipation for whatever is going down on Friday is real.
