Netflix is upping its content ante once again. This time, the streaming giant is set to make its first foray into the music competition realm.

As reported by Deadline, Netflix will be moving forward with its new Rhythm + Flow series, which is set to focus on finding “rap’s next superstar.” Much to the delight of fans and prospect viewers, Cardi B, T.I. and Chance the Rapper have each been recruited to judge competitors during the inaugural season.

The series, which has reportedly been in development for over a year, will run 10 hourlong episodes its first season and is set to premiere in fall 2019.

According to reports, filming will take place in Atlanta, Chicago and New York, among other possible locations. Additionally, an established rapper hailing from each city that the show will be taped in will appear as guest judges. Given that Atlanta, Chicago and New York have already been confirmed, the possibilities of who could be getting involved are as dope as they are limitless.

In related news, the upcoming Netflix series is not the only new project Chance the Rapper has up his sleeve.

As reported, the Chicago native will also be working to help develop a newly announced musical feature film Hope.

The movie will follow the story of teenagers from the Windy City who work together to use art as a method to influence their local community for the better. Yup, this sounds right up Chance’s alley. Chance made his acting debut earlier this fall by appearing in the comedy-horror film Slice.
