UPDATE | NOVEMBER 14: After spending nearly a week in DeKalb County Jail upon failing a drug test, Young Thug has been released under the condition that he submit to random drug testing twice a week, according to Atlanta’s WXIA. The rapper must also begin an outpatient program for addiction and drug abuse, and check in with his probation officer if leaving town.

Thug told the Superior Court Judge Gregory Adams, “I’m sorry for disobeying the court. I’m sorry for disobeying my PO and being here again. I just want to go home with my family and do right. Over the last six days, I understood this is real life. I have two sons, ages 10 and 11. I don’t want them to think that going to jail – even if you can get out right away – is cool. I want to grow, and I have grown. I’ve made mistakes and I’ve been penalized for them. I’m sorry, and won’t disobey again.”

ORIGINAL STORY | NOVEMBER 8: Young Thug is in jail after failing a drug test during a scheduled arraignment and subsequently having his probation revoked, as reported by The Blast. The arraignment stemmed from a September 2017 arrest in which the rapper was pulled over and allegedly found in possession of (and with the intent to distribute) marijuana, meth, and hydrocodone, as well as in possession of a firearm, codeine, amphetamine, and Alprazolam.

He was then arrested in Los Angeles last month on an unrelated felony gun charge and was allowed to remain free until his trial—until now.

Thugger has been indicted on those eight felony drug and gun charges and is booked Georgia’s DeKalb County Jail.
