After previously teasing that his new album would “come as a surprise,” Meek Mill has given fans another clue.
As reported, during a visit to Georgetown University, the Philadelphia rapper let it slide that his first post-prison full-length is due out sometime this month.
The social justice activist and rapper, who was in town to participate in a conversation about criminal justice reform with Professor Marc Howard, has been keeping mum about the details surrounding the forthcoming project.
However, it was previously reported by Page Six that fans can look forward to a song about Colin Kaepernick in the near future. The publication shared that the lyrics of the possible track include lines such as “They told Kap to stand up if you want to play for a team / And most of his teammates said the same thing” and “Back in the ’30s you would be killed if you kneeled / They won’t kill you now, they just take you out of the deal.”
Another possible collaboration could be with Cardi B given that the two were reportedly seen in the studio together recently. Fans are also speculating about the likelihood of Meek teaming up with Drake considering the men publicly made amends during a pitstop on the Aubrey and The Three Amigos tour.
Before year’s end, fans can anticipate new releases from Offset, Gucci Mane, Lil Baby, 21 Savage, Kanye West, Anderson .Paak, Lil Peep and City Girls, to name a few.
