Back in April, Metro Boomin took to his Instagram story to claim he’d “retired from rap.” Yet, he later nabbed production credits on both Nicki Minaj’s Queen (“Chun Swae,” “Sir”) and Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V (“Used 2”), so we have to take that declaration with a grain of salt. Especially now.

Billboards have been spotted in both Atlanta and New York City boasting a fake “missing persons” ad in search of the producer. It claims he’s been missing since December 23, 2017; that same month, the beatmaker had not only dropped his one-off track with MadeInTYO (“MadeInBoomin,”) but his full collaborative LP with Big Sean, Double or Nothing.

In addition to asking, “Have you seen this man?,” and listing his age, sex, height, weight, hair and eye color, it also reads: “ALL HEROES DON’T WEAR CAPES.” Could this be the title of his next offering? Only time will tell.
