Bad news for festival goers: this year’s FYF Fest has officially been canceled by organizers.

According to a statement issued on social media, the annual Los Angeles affair has been canceled by promoter Goldenvoice because the team “felt unable to present an experience on par with [fan] expectations.”

Those who have already purchased tickets will receive a full refund. This year marks the first summer the festival will not take place, ever since it was founded in 2004. Of the cancelation, Billboard is reporting that the alleged reason behind the unfortunate move was due to low ticket sales.

This year’s festival was set to takeover Exposition Park July 21-22, with acts such as Janet Jackson, Future, Skepta, Daniel Caesar, The Internet, Kali Uchis and more tapped to perform.

According to FYF’s statement, local shows featuring the aforementioned artists will be announced “soon.”

This year’s festival would have also marked the first since sexual assault allegations were made against its founder Sean Carlson in November 2017. The company parted ways with Carlson shortly thereafter.
