Whitney Houston’s legendary career is soon to be told on the big screen, with a new documentary set to air this July.

The film, which is the first of its kind to receive a blessing from the late singer’s estate, has shared its debut trailer, showcasing snippets of never-before-seen footage, including previously unreleased recordings and unseen, private home movies.

Whitney, directed by Oscar-winning director Kevin Macdonald, features interviews from those close to her, such as her mother Cissy and her ex-husband Bobby Brown, as well as boasts “unprecedented access.”

“You have three placed to sing from: the heart, the mind and guts. She learned them all,” Houston’s mother, a celebrated singer herself, can be heard saying in the teaser trailer.
