Cardi B is being sued by her former manager Klenord “Shaft” Raphael for “an amount to be determined at trial, but not less than $10,000,000.”

According to Variety, Raphael’s rep said in a statement:

“Since discovering Cardi B in 2015, Shaft has played an integral role in developing her music career and public image. While he is proud of their successful collaborations as she evolved from Instagram influencer to music megastar, Shaft is disappointed by her actions to freeze him out of her career, which are detailed in the complaint. Shaft is confident that his lawsuit will validate his conduct and substantiate his legal claims.”

Last month, Cardi B left Raphael’s company KSR for Solid Foundation, the management wing of record label Quality Control Music (which lists Migos and Lil Yachty on their roster).

(Back in February, Trippie Redd also joined Solid Foundation.)

According to the claim, Raphael and his company “demand judgement against Cardi B.” And Quality Control founders Kevin “Coach K” Lee and Pierre “Pee” Thomas are also named in the complaint.
