Has J. Cole been taking shots at Kanye West? According to Charlamagne tha God, the rap megastar believes so.

“Yesterday, when I was talking to Ye we had a conversation about J. Cole,” said the host of The Breakfast Club. Earlier this week, he had been spotted coming out of Yeezy’s office. “He said that he feels that J. Cole is always dissing him on records.”

Released in 2014, Cole’s platinum-selling Forest Hills Drive album featured the top 40 record “No Role Modelz.” Along with the hit single came lyrics like, “Nigga, I don’t want no bitch from reality shows / Out-of-touch-with-reality hoes,” which may have offended the “I Am A God” rapper. There’s also the buzz track “False Prophets,” which saw Cole rapping about being let down by an unnamed star who he used to look up to, but who exposed himself as someone fake over time.

“He was like, ‘who else out here is in love with people from reality shows like me?” said Charlamagne, who reportedly met with the G.O.O.D. Music honcho for an interview about his new music.

Kanye may have felt shots were sent in his direction, but it from the looks of it, we shouldn’t expect any Cole-aimed diss records coming from the College Dropout anytime soon. “He didn’t say it in a malace way at all,” Charlamagne stated. “He was laughing about it.”

Although, Kanye confirmed that Charlamagne tha God “heard some shit,” the personality told his Breakfast Club audience that the meeting was deeper than rap. “I heard some music, but we weren’t really building about music. We were just building about life. We’re grown with kids and wives, and we were talking about therapy,” he admitted.
