Nicki Minaj, “Chun-Li”

Nicki Minaj is baaack! The rapper reclaimed our attention this past week with the release of two new singles, “Chun-Li” and “Barbie Tingz,” later dropping a new self-shot selfie vertical video for the former. The visual features the Pinkprint rapper in a red-lit room showing off her incredible bars and bod alike.

Blu & Notzz, “Heaven on Earth”

In celebration of releasing their freshly remastered, remixed and restructured two-part opus, Gods in the Spirit, Titans in the Flesh, Blu & Nottz have fired off a colorful new visual for their track, “Heaven on Earth.” The video, which was shot in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park, features direction by The Infamous Oz, edits by the Last American B-Boy and animation by Unjust, further showcasing how creativity is often best executed in collaboration.

Talib Kweli, “All Of Us” featuring Jay Electronica & Yummy Bingham

Talib Kweli’s latest shines a light on police brutality, with the visual for his track “All Of Us” taking a conceptual turn of what could be in regards to unjust killings of men of color. The video, which was directed by Yassin “Narcy” Alsalman, depicts a story of an unarmed Black man being shot and killed at the hands of police (after losing his job, no less). The interpretative plot twist then takes things back in time to correct the wrongs that led to his brutal and unjust murder.
