The Rae Sremmurd boys are back, and yes, their streak of earworm deliverables continue. “Guatamala,” their latest single, finds Swae Lee eliciting the summertime vibes with one irresistibly smooth, tropical-tinged rhythm. He’s unstoppable on this escapist tune, which, as with “Chanel,” features a Rae Sremmurd collaboration, as Slim Jxmmi also jumps in the mix.
The new single is Rae Sremmurd’s latest SR3MM album teaser. So far, the three-disc follow-up to 2016’s SremmLife 2 has been preceded by the singles “Powerglide”, “Brxnks Truck,” “Hurt to Look,” and “Chanel.”
No release date has been set for the triple album, which will be split into a self-titled Rae Sremmurd album, Slim Jxmmi’s Jxmtro, and Swae Lee’s Swaecation. In a recent interview with REVOLT, Three 6 Mafia’s DJ Paul, whose work inspired the rap duo’s “Powerglide” single, revealed that he worked on a few records with Swae Lee that could make the project. “We got some more stuff that’s probably going to come out in the future,” he shared. “We set up one night and did like eight songs that I produced for them.” Check out more from the interview here.
