DJ Esco says he named his first ever official LP Kolorblind because everyone is welcomed to his audio party. But that still doesn’t mean he’s not playing favorites.

When putting the album together, he only looked to those close to him to collaborate. First (and obviously) was Future, the man he DJs and produces for. Fewtch is on all eleven songs of the project, which also includes Esco’s friends A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, Young Thug, ScHoolboy Q, Rich The Kid, and O.T. Genasis, who appears in the music video for “Bring It Out.”

“We did kinda like a spoof of Fast and Furious,” Esco told REVOLT TV while visiting the New York office this week. “We pull up in a car for the a car race. But instead of racing cars, we get out and do a footrace for the car. O.T. is acting in it. I’m acting in it. It’s a real fun video. Real funny video. We got fake police in there. Police cars. It’s a real fun video.”

The DJ-producer said getting O.T. on a record has been a long time coming.

“O.T. Genasis, man, we been waiting for this,” Esco said. “Me and O.T., that’s my brother, man. The thing about Kolorblind, everybody on there is personal relationships. I produced seven out of 11 of the tracks. Even the ones I didn’t produce, is Metro Boomin, that’s my brother. O.T. Genasis is my brother. We been waiting to do a song for a long time. His energy is so crazy. And the way I have my energy, we just wanted to make that happen together. We always talked about it. And we could never get it together. He was on tour with Chris Brown, I was on tour with Future and Migos. And then we finally got to link up and put this song together. We got to shoot this video with Future; it’s a movie.”

Kolorblind is out now.
