Former Death Row Records mogul Suge Knight was transferred from jail to a Los Angeles hospital on Tuesday (April), according to TMZ. The incident occurred as Knight awaits his murder trial.

As TMZ reports, Knight was moved from LA County jail and admitted to a local hospital on Tuesday morning, however as of this writing, it’s still unclear why. The report indicates the California native’s series of health issues faced since his 2015 arrest. He passed out in court in 2015, and has been repeatedly treated for blood clots.

Knight currently is facing charges of murder and attempted murder after a fatal hit-and-run incident took the life of Heavyweight Records co-founder Terry Carter in 2015. He also has beenindictedfor allegedly making death threats to the director of Straight Outta Compton. Knight has pled not guilty to each charge and is currently facing life in prison if convicted.

Last month, a judge dismissed the 15th attorney assigned to Knight. As reported, Judge Ronald S. Coen released attorney Dominque Banos from Knight’s legal counsel, citing a conflict of interest.
