After huge celebs such as former President of the United States Barack Obama and legendary actor George Clooney, JAY-Z is the next A-lister to appear on My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman this Friday April 6.

Letterman, whose Late Show With David Letterman became an TV institution for over three decades, had previously released a clip where him and Hov talk about having “paper routes” as kids. While Letterman was referring to actually delivering periodicals, the Jiggaman joked his early job was making paper selling drugs.

Monday morning (April 2), a new short from their interview hit the net. This time JAY discusses two of his favorite MCs and guys who he has collaborated and toured with: Snoop Dogg and Eminem.

“You can have a great voice, and could just almost say anything,” says Hov in the clip, discussing artistry and ordaining of rappin’. “Snoop Dogg has a great voice. He can say ‘1, 2, 3 and to the 4.’ It’s like ‘Oh my God!’ It just sounds good right? It just Sounds really good. Or you could be someone like Eminem with amazing cadence. It’s almost like the syncopation. ‘I sit back…’ With this almost… Becomes this percussion inside the music. There’s multiple way to be really good. Some people have it all.”

Hov, who is always in the conversation about Greatest MC of all time, certainly knows about meeting every microphone checklist criteria. JAY-Z and his wife Beyonce embark on their “On The Run II” tour in June.
