Ricky Bell (of Bell Biv Devoe and New Edition fame) and his wife Amy Correa-Bell have musically joined forces for the very first time. The couple of over 14 years will be releasing an EP together, and the first single off the project is the acoustic guitar-laced ballad, “Gold.”

“Gold” tells the story of both unconditional love and the bittersweet nuances of life’s golden moments. Enlisting the help of music producer BOZGO, Ricky and Amy set out to write, record and release their duet, and created two versions of the song, the other a reggaeton-tinged pop rendition.

Actress Meagan Good, a long-time friend of the couple, took the knowledge she obtained working in front of the camera since the age of four and signed on to direct both “Gold” music videos. The first, set in the desert of California, is a modern-day take on “Bonnie & Clyde.”

One hundred-percent of the online proceeds from the video will be donated to Direct Relief, a non-profit organization actively assisting those affected by poverty and emergencies, including the victims of Mexico and Puerto Rico’s most recent devastating earthquakes and hurricanes.
