By now, you’ve either read and/or discussed the stream of quotes that poured from Quincy Jones’ recent interviews (if not, read here). But if you, like the many, were anticipating more interviews from the lionized mogul, think again. As of today, Mr. Jones won’t tell any more jaw-dropping stories.

Taking to Twitter, Jones revealed that his six daughters arranged a surprise “family intervention” because of controversial comments made in his two recent interviews. “I’m so grateful for my daughters because they aren’t scared to stand up to their daddy. I am an imperfect human and I’m not afraid to say it.” His full statement, which also includes a public apology, is below:
