Black Panther is gearing up to see record-breaking numbers at the box office this Presidents Day weekend, currently poised to make over $218 million.

With theaters across the nation seeing colossal turnouts, one activist organization, the Electoral Justice Project, is taking advantage of the massive crowds to help get people to register to vote.

As reported, the group has been setting up voter registration booths at movie theaters across the U.S., with the success of the Marvel epic helping their #WakandaTheVote campaign become a success.

“We are effective because we meet our communities where they are, whether that’s in the streets, at the city council meeting, or in the movie theater,” the initiative’s co-founders Kayla Reed and Jessica Byrd explained to Blavity.

“This weekend we wanted to meet our people in Wakanda,” they continued. “We know that for some it’s a superhero world, but we know that the world we deserve is still waiting to be built – and we want to build it!”

As pointed out by the campaign, this year’s midterm elections are especially important, with all 435 House of Representative seats and 34 of the 100 senatorial seats up for election.

For those interested in getting involved with the campaign, text PANTHER to 91990 to set up registration booths at your local theater. To register to vote, Black Panther viewers can visit the booths at select theaters or text WAKANDA to 91990.

Additionally, those interested in paying it forward can donate to the now-viral #BlackPantherChallenge to help children in underprivileged areas see the film free of cost.
