On Friday (Feb. 16), YG fired off his first solo offering of the new year, just in time to help soundtrack 2018’s All-Star weekend festivities.
The Blood-affiliated rapper’s new anthem, “Suu Whoop,” takes no prisoners, with the fierce and high energy song doubling as a perfect pep talk to spit game or, in the spirit of this weekend, defeat an opponent on the court.

While the song is YG’s first solo track this year, the West Coast rapper has been wasting no time, recently appearing on tracks by Nipsey Hussle, 2 Chainz, Ty Dolla $ign and more.
It is currently uncertain if the track will be part of a larger project, with fans remaining hungry for YG to release a new album in the year ahead.
