Kanye West is back! And, naturally, fans aren’t totally sure what exactly that means or how long his return to social media will last.

Earlier Wednesday afternoon (Feb. 14), the beloved creative flooded everyone’s Instagram feeds without explanation, sharing one image dedicated presumably to his wife Kim Kardashian West and 43 additional photos of famous couples throughout pop culture, such as Michelle and Barack Obama.

He also sparked much confusion by posting now-broken-up couples such as Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton, Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee, among others. At the time of this report, he’s still actively updating his ‘gram.

West’s decision to erratically post reminded fans of his previous Instagram usage, during which he once updated over 100 images that appeared to be the inspiration behind his Yeezy fashion line or other projects as some sort of experimental mood board. Shortly thereafter, in May 2017, ‘Ye deleted both Instagram and Twitter.

As fans can recall, West previously thought joining about Instagram on Twitter, musing, “I was thinking about getting an Instagram but only on one condition. No one can ask me or try to tell me what to Instagram… It’s my art…”

Considering the sporadic and random Tumblr-esque nature of his posting habits, as well as the fact that he highlighted a handful of couples who are no longer romantically involved, many fans couldn’t help but wonder what on earth is going on.

Perhaps we’ll be seeing more of Ye’s “art” on the platform from here on out, or perhaps he’ll change his mind and go off the grid once again. Either way, it definitely seems like he’s up to something.
