Rapper Lil Pump was arrested Wednesday night for reportedly firing a gun in his home, however sources are saying it was an act of self defense.
According to TMZ, the “Gucci Gang” rapper’s manager told law enforcement that three men were attempting to break into his San Fernando Valley home. The manager, who was not present during the incident, relayed this info to the police after speaking to Lil Pump.
When police arrived, they entered the home to find the 17-year-old rapper home, with no suspects on the scene. A bullet hole was found in the door, which, after a search warrant, authorities discovered came from inside of the home. They also found evidence that he was smoking marijuana and located an unloaded handgun outside in the bushes. The ammo for the weapon was inside of the house. Cops believe Pump, not an intruder, fired the bullet into the door.
Pump is currently being held at a juvenile detention center, and his mother is expected to be questioned because of the evidence of marijuana and the unsecured gun at the home. Despite the claims, the rapper’s team hopes to clear his name by using surveillance footage to prove intruders had attempted to break into the home.
