At REVOLT, we make it a point to amplify the voices we believe are the leaders of our generation. Jamira Burley is one of those voices. From creating and implementing anti-violence programs throughout the city of Philadelphia as a high school student, to organizing over 100 youth trainings worldwide in collaboration with the United Nations, Burley is blazing a trail of leadership we can’t ignore.

We sat down with her to discuss her views on the current climate of black America’s cultural advancement and her opinion on music’s power to influence change.
