Kendrick Lamar isn’t the most active Twitter user, making his messages that much more impactful when he does post.

Sunday afternoon (Feb. 11), the Grammy Award-winning rapper took to the social media site to post a message expressing his gratitude for those who worked with him on the Black Panther soundtrack, which dropped this past Friday (Feb. 9) a week ahead of the film’s debut.

Lamar, who executive produced the soundtrack alongside Top Dawg Entertainment’s Anthony Tiffith, took a moment to thank his collaborators, which include SZA, Travis Scott, Vince Staples, Khalid, ScHoolboy Q, 2 Chainz, The Weeknd, Future and James Blake.

“Black Panther,” he wrote on Twitter. “Respect to all the artist/producers that allowed me to execute a sound for the soundtrack. The concept of producing and composing a project other than my own has always been ideal. I appreciate the experience love ones. Continue to be great.”

There’s no denying Lamar was destined to work on a project of this magnitude and impact, and how his humble nature continues to inspire excellence.

Black Panther hits theaters this Friday on Feb. 16.
