Hours after releasing a sultry new single, “Good Man,” NE-YO has confirmed exclusively to REVOLT TV that the song doubles as the title track for his forthcoming album.

During a candid conversation with REVOLT TV’s Nicky Garcia, the storied musician also revealed that the project will be dropping in June, as well as confirmed some collaborations fans can expect to be included in what will become his seventh studio album.

“I’m not going to throw everybody out there but people I’ll name off top…,” NE-YO began, answering a question from a fan as part of the interactive Facebook Live session. “2 Chainz is on the album, Stefflon Don is on the album, my buddy Eric Bellinger is on the album, Romeo Santos is on the album, Bebe Rexha is on the album.”

After a brief pause of contemplation, the R&B legend continued, adding, “I’m leaving people out. I’ma stop right there. There are some people [on it] that you will really identify with.”

While he hasn’t yet revealed a specific release date, NE-YO’s new album marks his first since 2015’s Non-Fiction.

Elsewhere throughout the interview, NE-YO also talks about the inspiration behind the album’s name (“It’s an attempt to lead by example”), the importance of making time to respond texts (“Your phone is a part of your body now, you’re too busy to answer texts?”), teaching his son about owning up to mistakes (“I’m trying to teach him to hold himself accountable”) and much, much more.
