Colin Kaepernick has officially met his pledge to donate $1M to a variety of organizations dedicated to fighting for social justices and serving oppressed communities across the U.S.

Taking to Twitter Wednesday afternoon (Jan. 31), the still-unemployed quarterback and activist confirmed that he has now successfully completed his #10For10 challenge—which called on ten celebrities to match his donations in the increment of $10,000 to help him reach his remaining donation goal amount of $100,000—with Usher’s support helping him complete the impactful philanthropic challenge.

Usher joins the likes of Meek Mill, Chris Brown, Steph Curry, Serena Williams and more, with each donating $10,000 to the organization of their choice. As previously reported, Meek Mill made his donation on Tuesday (Jan. 30), selecting Youth Services, Inc., an organization that works with at-risk teens, to receive his donation alongside Kaepernick’s.

As reported, the beloved R&B singer selected the H.O.M.E. (Helping Oppressed Mothers Endure) charity in Georgia to receive their combined donation of $20,000.

“Day 10 of my #10for10! Thank you @usher for choosing H.O.M.E. for the #MillionDollarPledge,” Kaep wrote, sharing the exciting update with fans. “We’re donating $10k each to them for a total of $20k! It’s been an honor to work for the people and donate $1 mil to orgs fighting for social justice! See it all on http://kaepernick7.com.”

Additionally, Kaepernick also posted a video update, further expressing his gratitude for the generosity of his peers, friends and colleagues.

“This was an opportunity to do something major, and you did it,” Usher can be heard saying in the clip. “You have raised $1 million. I’m happy to be a part of the completion of that $1 million. Everyone that has done something around this is amazing. This is a collaborative effort. As a result of us helping each other, we all become stronger.”

Many salutes to Colin Kaepernick, Usher and those who helped support this massive (and selfless) mission. Take a look at Colin Kaepernick reflecting on the experience, below.
