The latest update from Meek Mill’s ongoing battle with the justice system has raised some eyebrows among his fanbase.
As first reported by TMZ, a court clerk quietly interrupted the rapper’s probation hearing, during which she slipped the Philadelphia rapper a letter asking for financial help on behalf of her son.

As reported, Wanda Chavarria passed Meek a note during his probation hearing, explaining how she is doing everything she can to help her son complete his degree at the Virginia Commonwealth University but needs financial assistance due to having poor credit.
“This will probably be my son’s last semester at VCU if the tuition isn’t paid for this year and unfortunately with my bad credit, I am unable to secure a loan or cosign a loan for my son,” the note, which was obtained by TMZ, reads. “Anything you can do is very much appreciated.”
While Meek has a history of giving back to the community, especially in his hometown of Philadelphia, the timing of the request has fans reacting that the move was in poor taste. Per TMZ, Meek Mill did not make a donation of any sort but that the clerk’s son was able to stay in school and is set to graduate in May.
The rapper, who is currently serving a two-to-four year sentence for probation violation, also recently received some promising news regarding his appeal, with a judge reportedly requesting documentation to prove that the ruling judge Genece Brinkley showed bias towards him.
It was previously reported that the judge allegedly asked Meek to rerecord a Boyz II Men song and shout her out in it, among other unprofessional behavior, such as suggesting he fire his current management to sign with Charlie Mack instead. In the event Meek Mill and his legal team can prove that the judge was not able to make a fair and impartial ruling due to her alleged bias, he may be released from prison as soon as possible.
