Matthew Fletcher and Thaddeus Culpepper, the former attorneys in Suge Knight’s still-pending murder case, were arrested Thursday on allegations that they were “accessories after the fact.”

The allegations surround Knight’s ongoing murder case. As NY Daily News reports, Fletcher was arrested for accessory after the fact, which is a felony that is defined in California law as “harboring, concealing or aiding a person whom you know has committed a felony, in order to protect him or her from arrest, trial, conviction and/or sentencing.” Culpepper was also arrested on the charge.

The arrest of the California lawyers come just five months after they were accused of witness tampering in Knight’s pending murder case following the 2015 killing of Terry Carter. The attorneys are said to have tried to pay witnesses as a way to sway the decision in the case. Fletcher and Culpepper have denied the charges, as the Los Angeles Times reports.

Both attorneys are being held on $1 million bail.
