Ed Sheeran has much to celebrate these days, ranging from his two upcoming Grammy nominations and his recent collaboration alongside Beyoncé topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart and securing Queen Bey her first No. 1 record in 9 years.

As confirmed by the artist himself, things are going exceptionally well in his personal life as well, with Sheeran taking to Instagram to announce he recently proposed to his girlfriend Cherry Seaborn.

To share the news with fans, Sheeran posted a photo with his now-fiancée, writing, “Got myself a fiancé just before the new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx.”

The pair have been dating since 2015, years after meeting while attending the same high school.

Sheeran is nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album for his 2017 album, ÷ [Divide], and for Best Pop Solo Performance for “Shape of You.” Many of his fans felt he was snubbed, with the singer-songwriter explaining that “maybe this year wasn’t [his] year.”

The 2018 Grammys are set to take over next weekend, taking place live from New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Jan. 27. In the latest Grammys news, Rihanna, DJ Khaled and Bryson Tiller have joined the star-studded list of performers.
