Following her Golden Globes nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Mudbound, Mary J. Blige will again be recognized, in a major way, by the entertainment industry.

According to Variety, the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

REVOLT TV Chairman, and Blige’s longtime friend, Sean “Diddy” Combs will unveil the star alongside Hollywood Chamber president and CEO Leron Gubler.

Ana Martinez, the producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies, said:

“Mary J. Blige is one of the most popular singers of our generation. Fans will be thrilled to see her star on the Boulevard as her career milestones are celebrated on this very famous sidewalk.”

The ceremony will take place on January 11 in Hollywood.

Other celebrities who have been honored with a star include The Rock, Mariah Carey, LL Cool J, Usher, Kevin Hart (see below), and New Edition.
