Watch: SZA's Solange-directed music video for "The Weekend"

It’s been four months since SZA first revealed that Solange would be directing her music video for “The Weekend,” and five long weeks since she teased a clip of it. But now it’s finally here.

In the visual, SZA is the sole star, hypnotically and enticingly dancing alone (and in varying get-ups) on balconies, in parking lots, and inside vacant buildings that are basked in sunlight, draped in plastic, and boasting artsy structures within. Bookending the video is the phrase: “One opted out…an imbalance of power, shifted the whole tide…it waved…and waved.” Watch it below.
