Report: Nelly sued for sexual assault, defamation

It’s been less than a week since Nelly’s rape case was dropped and he announced his plans to sue in order to clear his name and restore his reputation.

But he now has another matter to tend to.

According to TMZ, the woman who accused him of rape, but refused to testify against him fearing the “the criminal system would fail her,” is now suing him for sexual assault and defamation.

Nelly’s attorney Scott Rosenblum told the site, “It comes as no surprise that Ms. Green filed a lawsuit against Nelly seeking money after we announced our intention to hold her accountable. We always believed her accusation was motivated by greed.”

Rosenblum added that Nelly plans to countersue.
