It’s not the whole NFL as he claimed in October, but one team will do for now: Sean “Diddy” Combs wants to buy the Carolina Panthers football team.

“I would like to buy the Carolina Panthers,” Combs tweeted on Sunday. “Spread the word.”

This weekend, the National Football League announced it was opening an investigation into accusations of workplace misconduct against Jerry Richardson, the current owner of the Carolina Panthers. According to a report by Sports Illustrated, the allegations include multiple cases of sexual harassment toward female employees and the use of a racial slur.

Richardson has since said that he will sell the team after the season, and Combs is ready to take it off his hands.

“There are no majority African American NFL owners,” Combs tweeted. “Let’s make history.”

Later on Instagram, Combs repeated his wish – and said he would sign Colin Kaepernick, who has been unsigned since last season, when he began to kneel during the national anthem to protest police brutality. He said he would let him compete with Cam Newton for the team’s starting quarterback slot.

“I will immediately address the Colin Kaepernick situation and put him in the running for next year’s starting quarterback,” Diddy said in a video. “It’s just competition, baby.”

He also promised great halftime shows with “the best selection of music,” and repeated Super Bowl wins.

Forbes estimates that the Carolina Panthers are worth $2.3 billion; Richardson and his ownership group paid $206 million for the Panthers as an expansion team in 1993.

Combs has landed on multiple Forbes lists this year, including being named as one of the 100 Greatest Living Business Minds. Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry has shown interest in joining Combs’ ownership group, retweeting Combs and adding “I want in!” Beyonce also reportedly attempted to join an ownership group and buy the NBA’s Houston Rockets earlier this year; maybe she would be interested in this as well.
